As public interest in Indonesia has risen considerably in the light of recent events in East Timor, members may find the following links useful.
Inside Indonesia is published quarterly by the Indonesian Resources and Information Programme: an association made up of academic specialists on Indonesia, members of overseas aid agencies, development action groups and trade unions in Australia.
http://www.insideindonesia.org/An excellent starting point for an Indonesian perspective on current events is Antara: the official National News Agency of Indonesia.
This site requires registration. Members, however, may log in with the user ID ilanet and the password guest (both lower case) to gain access to full text on this site.
http://www.antara.co.id/The Official site of UNAMET: established by Security Council resolution 1246 to conduct the ballot in East Timor.
http://www.un.org/peace/etimor/etimor.htmBreaking news can be found at the special ABC web site.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/etimor/default.htmWe are working to develop ilanetweb as a 'one stop shop' for resource discovery and deployment and in addition to our 'gateway' access to commercial resources, we are currently posting to ilanetweb free links to high quality sites.
These guides to internet resources can be accessed by expanding the menu item "browse" on ilanetweb and then selecting "net guides".
Members can use the URL below to access this area:

http://www.ilanet.net.au/guest.cfm?goto=/guides/A suite of links to major Australian and International medical resources was recently added.
Of course, if there are sites you recommend that don't appear in the appropriate guide we would very pleased to add them. Please let us know.
We encourage you to explore the guides developed to date.
Formal advice regarding the non-Y2K compliant status of the ILANET ILL database product ILAMAIL (all versions) will be going out in the mail to all clients who have purchased copies of this product next week.
This advice will also include a document with comprehensive details on the various alternative options available to current and past users of ILAMAIL: including simple alternative means for creating text files acceptable for bulk upload via ilanetweb.
We commissioned the development of a utility that will export your requests and borrower information to a comma-delimited text file (these can be imported into spreadsheet and database applications) with Y2K compliant date formats. The utility will be available shortly, when testing is completed.
ILL services on ilanetweb are currently being redeveloped as a first step toward later integration with Kinetica DD and ISO-ILL standards based VDX technology that we expect to deploy next year.
As soon as drafting is completed the advice will also be posted to ilanetweb.
Members have started to use the Dialog Select service via ilanetweb with the feedback to date very positive. Members are especially pleased that they can search a subset of the Dialog Databases without incurring (DialUnit) search charges.
A minor problem is that some members have "timed out" of Dialog Select. If prompted for a password and user ID by the Dialog Select site, please close the Dialog Select window and click the "connect" link again on the ilanetweb International databases page.
You cannot log in to Dialog Select with your ilanetweb login and password.
ABI/INFORM(r) and BIOSIS Previews have been the most popular databases searched to date.
We are sending you elogon because you are an ilanetweb customer, or you subscribed to it from the email address where it was received.
